1. This APP uses the latest World Magnetic Model from the National Geophysical Data Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to calculate the magnetic declination at a specific latitude, longitude, elevation, date and time.

2. It is being provided here, as an alternative to the website based NOAA Magnetic Declination Calculator, to enable you to determine the magnetic declination information if you are unable to access the internet from your current location.

3. Your latitude, longitude and elevation (GPS altitude) will be automatically calculated for you and entered into the magnetic declination calculation.

4. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

5. As an example, simply enter the latitude and longitude in degrees decimal (e.g. Toronto 43.653584, -79.384033) where a negative sign is required for south latitudes or west longitudes.

6. A "My Location" button has been added to permit direct locating of your current position on a map.

7. When you drag the map from your current location a notice will ask you to enter the new elevation.

10. The declination is in degrees decimal relative to earth's rotational true north.

11. This map feature has been significantly upgraded to now allow you to pan and zoom to other locations on the map, anywhere on the planet.
